Recently we discussed the Jeep as the ultimate apocalypse vehicle. Known for its rugged durability and off-road capabilities, it has been featured in nearly every zombie film and television series since Night Of The Living Dead. However, Britain’s new Land Rover may provide some healthy competition due to its inclusion of an edible survival guide!
International advertising agency Y&R Dubai created the survival manual which was included as a supplement to the original owner’s manual and is set to be featured in a popular car magazine. Not only does the pamphlet offer valuable advice for surviving the harsh Arabian environment, it also serves as an actual survival tool itself!
Y&R Dubai researched every indigenous animal and plant, people could encounter in the Arabian Desert and how they could be used to survive. They studied the topography of the region to guide people to safety. The agency used a reflective packaging similar to army rations, which could be used to signal for help, and bound the book with a metal spiral, which could be used for cooking. Finally, the agency even took an extra step so that in case of emergency, people could always EAT the book. It was made out of edible ink and paper, and it had a nutritional value close to that of a cheeseburger.
We’re not sure how appetizing a survival manual would be, but come the inevitable zombie apocalypse you may have to resort to drastic measures. It’s certainly not ideal, but with the nutritional value of a cheeseburger it may just save your life one day. Better safe than sorry!

I’ll keep my Jeep, and just take the the survival guides out of the Land Rovers that I find broke down.
