First and foremost zombies are defined by their relentless aggression. You can’t negotiate with a zombie. You can’t tell a zombie what to do. A zombie has single-minded focus. It will never stop. It will never surrender. A zombie will continue to move toward its goal at any cost. So it would be impossible to form zombies into organized units to be released on your human enemies, right? Maybe not.
Imagine being able to control a horde of the undead with a remote control. Tens of thousands of flesh eaters marching across the land, turning on a dime at your will, attacking where and when you command. Believe it or not, we have the technology.
Electrical impulses transmitted wirelessly through a simple headset can control the balance of humans, causing them to lean and step a certain direction. Called a galvanic vestibular stimulation interface, this device could be used to dictate to movements of countless zombies all at once. It wouldn’t change their unrelenting drive, just their ability to walk freely in any direction. Catch them, throw a pair of headsets on their rotting noggins, and add them to your growing army of remote controlled monsters. World domination is just a joystick away!
Here’s an example of the device in action on a human:
That is legitimately terrifying.
This seems remarkably similar to what they were planning to do in Return of the Living Dead 3…
