How long can you survive a hellish wasteland plagued by all manner of nighttime terrors? Gamers will soon have the chance to find out for themselves with the release of Grave in 2015.
Developed by Broken Window Studios, Grave will transport players to The Wasteland, an alternate reality desert that will test both their survival skills and sanity as they build defences and fight back the monsters of the night. Oh, and you start off dead (kind of an important point).
Grave is billed as a fusion between modern horror and classic survival horror genres, and its procedurally generated world means no two games will ever be the same.
“Play Grave how you want to, setting up defensive fortifications to survive the night or arming yourself with offensive weapons to keep creatures at bay,” explains Aaron Treguboff, Broken Window Studios’ Community Outreach Manager. “With procedurally populated enemies, items, and even worlds, Grave weaves an unpredictable tale that will keep you in its grasp.”
Grave was successfully funded through an April 2014 Kickstarter. It will arrive in late 2015 for both Xbox One and PlayStation 4, as well as PC (steam), Mac, and Linux. Keep tabs on its progress at www.grave_game.com.
