In case you missed it, the Texas-based company TrackingPoint is selling a “smart” rifle that allows even an inexperienced shooter to hit a target 10 football fields away. But prepare for sticker shock, because it costs $27,500.
The TrackingPoint rifles are Wi-Fi enabled and have a color display so users can post videos of their shots on Facebook or YouTube.

It’s pretty cool tech but as a recreational shooter it seems a lot like cheating, taking away the fun of shooting in the first place.
I’m tempted to start putting away a little fund for one of these. Or at least see if I can find a place to shoot one.
