To celebrate the upcoming release of Resident Evil: Revelations, the public relations team at Capcom is offering fans the opportunity to swim in a blood-filled pool near the Olympic stadium in London! In addition to its bloody appearance the swimming pool will feature floating human torsos, body parts and bloody intestines as lane markers. Zombie lifeguards will also be on duty to enforce a unique set of zombie pool rules.
Zombies have been kept very busy lately doing a variety of PR stunts, so rather than do the expected, we wanted to give them some time off for canal side relaxation in London.
To non-zombies, the swimming pool will be shocking, gory and an incredibly disturbing experience – the perfect way to show that survival horror is back with a bang for Resident Evil Revelations.
Besides the pure spectacle of it all, participants will be provided with brain swimming caps, goggles and bloody towels! Special commemorative game merchandise and prizes will also be scattered across the bottom of the diseased pool including collectible vials of the T-Virus itself.
This free event will be open to the public for two days only on Saturday, May 24th and Sunday, May 25th. But tickets are limited to the first 100 guests, so be sure to visit the official Eventbrite website this Monday for your chance to attend one of the most bizarre zombie-themed promotional events of the year!
Do you know if the ‘blood’ will come straight off in the wash, haha? I’m definitely going to try and grab a ticket…
Thanks.
