When packing your zombie survival kit you should include as many essential items as possible, while not burdening yourself with a load that’s too heavy to carry over long distances. Objects with multiple uses are vital to this process, and one that often gets overlooked is the common Frisbee or flying disc.
The 9″ disc seen above and below is light weight, small enough to fit in any pack, and can even provide some structure and support to an otherwise flimsy bag. But more importantly it serves two survival functions that just might save your life when the dead rise:
- RECREATION- In a world with no more video games, or movies, or pretty much anything even remotely resembling fun, any recreational activity that can clear your head and boost group morale is worth its weight in gold. This simple, plastic Frisbee will ensure you and your team have the mental clarity and strength of heart to carry on another day.
- RECEPTACLE- Turn your Frisbee over and it instantly becomes a dinner plate or bowl. It can also be used to filter out large impurities from drinking water, by allowing debris to settle at the bottom before pouring out the cleaner top-water. Or bind two discs together to create a protective shell around some of your more delicate survival items.
So for serious zombie survival and fun, consider getting at least a ZRS Frisbee for yourself, and the rest of your group. You’ll thank yourself later.
