DEAD SNOW 2: NEW TRAILER & SUNDANCE PREMIERE

The brand new sequel to director Tommy Wirkola’s hugely popular Norwegian zombie film Dead Snow will have its premiere at the 2014 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah! Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead has been selected along with a number of other horror flicks, comedies and genre-defying films as part of the exclusive Park City at Midnight series.

Kicking off a week-long engagement, the film will tour four different theaters beginning with the Library Center Theatre on January, 19th. Wirkola himself will also participate in Cinema Cafe at the Elks Lodge on Friday, January 25th to discuss Dead Snow and his previous work, including Hansel & Gretel: Witch Hunters.

Picking up immediately where the original left off, Dead Snow; Red vs. Dead wastes no time getting right to the gore-filled action, leaving a bloody trail of intestines in its wake. Director Tommy Wirkola returns to the helm with a vengeance, coming up with more inventive ways to maim and dismember than you ever thought possible. Combining wry humor with horrific worst-case scenarios, this follow-up to the 2009 Midnight classic is sure to shock the weak-of-heart and delight even the most hard-core fans of the horror genre.

In a recent interview with Shock Till You Drop, director Tommy Wirkola described the film as “full throttle from beginning to end.” In fact, you can check out some really amazing behind-the-scenes photographs from the set right here at the Zombie Research Society! And to celebrate the upcoming premiere of Dead Snow: Red vs. Dead, we’ve embedded the brand new teaser trailer below. Take a look, and let us know what you think!
