ENGLAND’S FIRST ZOMBIE WEDDING

The Liverpool Echo recently reported on what’s being called the UK’s first zombie wedding. Apparently newlyweds Rob and Jennifer Blackmore of Stockbridge won the privilege as part of a Facebook competition to mark the release of “Dead Island: Riptide.” The video game’s promotional team provided the bride, groom and their guests with professional make-up artists and zombie-themed decorations… not to mention a Caribbean honeymoon!

More than 250 people gathered for the unorthodox ceremony in central London. The ceremony was decorated as a “hellish” Caribbean paradise. Live music was provided by “zombified” band Mariachi Mexteca. while the couple were set to whisked away for a honeymoon in the Caribbean.

The couple originally had plans for a Halloween wedding, so the zombie theme suited them just fine. Even their parents seemed surprisingly comfortable at the event. You can read the full report and watch an entertaining video of the wedding ceremony online at the official website for the Liverpool Echo.
