Once again, zombie fans have reason to celebrate as the Texas Frightmare Weekend returns with a whole host of amazing artists, celebrities and filmmakers. The annual horror convention has been thrilling guests for over ten years, and 2016 promises to be even bigger and better than ever! With exclusive photo and autograph opportunities to special screenings of classic cult films, this is definitely one event that you won’t want to miss.
This year’s special guests include Zombie Research Society Advisory Board member George A. Romero, accomplished actor and horror icon Howard Sherman (known to zombie fans as “Bub” from Day of the Dead) and a very special reunion panel featuring the cast of the 1985 zombie classic The Return of the Living Dead. Not to mention a sneak preview of Hairmetal Shotgun Zombie Massacre: The Movie!
Conceived by Loyd and Sue Cryer in 2005 as a three day horror convention, the event takes place annually in the Dallas Fort Worth metroplex. True to its motto, “The Southwest’s Premier Horror Convention”, our goal is to provide fans with an unrivaled experience by celebrating all aspects of genre films. Texas Frightmare Weekend hosts celebrity appearances, autograph signings, screenings, exclusive parties and horror memorabilia vendors from all over the country. The event is also extremely proud to have featured the rising talents of many Texas “Frightmakers” in screenings, panel discussions and Q & A’s.
The event kicks off this Friday night, April 29th. And in addition to all of the zombie-related festivities, there will be a ton of amazing cult and horror celebrities in attendance. So be sure to visit the official Texas Frightmare Weekend website online for even more details including a complete list of special guests, recent news and ticket information.
