Known to fans around the world as Bub, from George Romero’s seminal 1985 cult film “Day of the Dead”; accomplished actor and horror icon Howard Sherman will don his classic zombie make-up one last time at The 11th Annual Texas Frightmare Weekend. Celebrity make-up artists Tom Savini and Nora Hewitt will recreate the classic look, offering attendees an amazing opportunity to be a part of zombie film history.
Sherman originally portrayed “Bub” in George A. Romero’s 1985 class-sick DAY OF THE DEAD. Now, at TFW 2016 ONLY, Sherman will transform into everyone’s favorite zombie ONE LAST TIME under the supervision of his original makeup creator Tom Savini. Additionally, Face Off 2016 winner Nora Hewitt will be doing all the work in getting Howard ready to “phone Aunt Alicia” with you by his side. Savini and Hewitt will also be appearing all weekend long.
But that’s not all… writer, director and Zombie Research Society Advisory Board member George Romero will also be part of this once in a lifetime event. The man who made it all possible, and creator of the modern zombie, will join Sherman during the convention for an exclusive photo op. And according to event organizers, this opportunity will never be available again as Howard plans to retire the character immediately after the convention!
