RESIDENT EVIL REMASTERED: NEW TEASER TRAILER

Despite a number of sequels, spin-offs and remakes, the original Resident Evil easily remains a fan favorite. Consistently named one of the best video games of all time, the title has almost never been out of circulation. Spreading from console to console, the zombie classic continues to scare a new generation of gamers every few years.

And to preserve that lasting legacy, Capcom has recently announced a high definition version of the very game that defined the survival-horror genre and launched a hugely successful franchise. If you thought the 2002 remake of Resident Evil looked good, just wait until you see the brand new trailer below! Prepare to rediscover the evil.

The original Resident Evil was released in 1996, and the remake arrived in 2002. The remake was built from scratch by the same creators and was considered a masterpiece.

Now, over a decade later, and with modern technology we can make the scares even more real in terms of both graphics and sound. The interface has also been updated to meet today’s standards.

But don’t worry, we made sure not to change anything that made the original the classic that it is. You don’t mess with a masterpiece, after all.

According to their own statement, the developers have vowed to “preserve the horror and atmosphere of the remake” while producing an HD experience for modern systems including 1080p resolution, 30 frames per second and 5.1 digital surround sound.

With exciting upgrades and improvements to sound, graphics and gameplay; the remastered edition is expected for release sometime early next year. In the meantime, Capcom continues to provide regular updates, photos and video via their official website.
