NEW DYING LIGHT TRAILER WILL KEEP YOU UP AT NIGHT

Video game developer Techland recently unleashed a brand new trailer for its upcoming acrobatic, zombie-mashing, open-world horror game in advance of its debut at E3 2014. Entitled Dying Light, the new IP aims to bring a few new tricks to the survival-horror genre – many of which make a brief (and bloody) appearance in the video embedded below.

The gameplay trailer highlights the parkour aspects of the first-person title, catapulting viewers over rooftops and through the gut-soaked streets of a South American city awash in undead monstrosities. Highlights of the clip include Dying Light’s day-and-night cycle, combat, and the ability to breeze through environments with deadly force and precision.

Dying Light is a new entry from Techland, creators of the Dead Island series, which was originally planned as a Dead Island sequel until the studio deemed it unique enough to warrant its own brand. As for how the game will stand out from the horde; the studio has promised an original blend of open-world, role-playing mechanics featuring multiplayer bedlam and a “dynamic” day-and-night system which will present players with exciting new enemies and exclusive gameplay tweaks when the sun goes down.

Look for Dying Light to infect PS3, PS4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and PC in February 2015. You can also keep up to date on the game’s progress simply by visiting the official website online. But make sure to keep a few lights on. Just, you know… to be safe!
