DEAD MAN WAKES UP IN BODY BAG

Workers at a Lexington area funeral home received quite a shock late last week as they prepared to embalm 78-year-old Walter Williams. The Mississippi man had been declared dead just a few hours earlier at his home, when employees of the Porter and Sons Funeral Home suddenly found the man alive and kicking inside a body bag.

Family members believed that Mr. Williams had passed away around 9:00pm when Holmes County Coroner Dexter Howard could find no pulse. He was declared dead at the scene, quickly zipped into a body bag and taken to a local funeral home where workers began to prepare his body for burial.

After the coroner helped move Williams to Porter and Sons Funeral Home, workers were getting ready to embalm him. But that’s when he started to move … Byron Porter says it’s the first time he’s ever seen anything like it; a man inside a body bag, kicking to get out.

Well, let’s certainly hope it’s the first (and last) time that anyone ever sees anything like that! Thankfully Mr. Williams was found alive before he could be embalmed. And after being taken to a nearby hospital it’s believed that his near-death diagnosis was due to a faulty pacemaker. At least, that’s the official story.

We’ve embedded the original television report from WAPT News below, so take a look!
