ZOMBIE PULP FICTION: BRAINEATER JONES

Writing a book that combines a great sense of humor, graphic gore and a clever crime story is a difficult task. And adding zombies to the mix certainly doesn’t make things any easier. But that’s exactly what author Stephen Kozeniewski has done in his entertaining new novel Braineater Jones!

This Chandler-esque mystery turns the pulp fiction genre on its head by unleashing the undead on a sleazy underworld full of gangsters and speakeasies. But these are no ordinary zombies, and our undead gumshoe will have to think his way through the twists and turns before he can crack the case wide open.

Braineater Jones wakes up face down in a swimming pool with no memory of his former life, how he died, or why he’s now a zombie. With a smart-aleck severed head as a partner, Jones descends into the undead ghetto to solve his own murder.

At times, Braineater Jones reads almost like a classic film noir. But it carries a quirky vibe that plays brilliantly throughout the novel. You can practically hear Humphrey Bogart or Dick Powell narrating some of the witty dialogue. Make no mistake though, this is still a zombie story at its core… albeit one of the most enjoyable and unusual takes on the genre that you’re ever likely to find!

So if you’re looking for an entertainingly bizarre mystery, and don’t mind a few walking corpses in your pulp fiction; check out Braineater Jones this holiday season. It’s available online right now from Amazon and Barnes & Noble in both Kindle and paperback editions!
