Hey zombie fans! Welcome back to the Zombie Research Society’s exclusive coverage of Comic-Con 2013, where we bring you all of the best and most amazing zombie-themed events, panels and programs each and every day.

A quick note: Many of these events and panels are scheduled simultaneously or overlap. So please make sure to read the entire schedule and plan your time accordingly!

Comic Con Saturday Teaser


Robert Kirkman
9:00AM – 10:00AM
Sails Pavilion – Autographs

The man, the legend, the unstoppable force behind The Walking Dead; author and writer Robert Kirkman will be on hand once again Saturday morning to sign autographs! Unfortunately this is a very limited signing, and a drawing for line tickets will be held at 9:00 am in the autograph area. So be sure to arrive early!


Munchkin School & Zombie Dice
10:00AM – 11:00AM
Room 15A

Why not play another few competitive game of Zombie Dice? This popular game is lots of fun and very easy to learn. So swing by the gaming room Saturday morning as zombie fans gather together to play a few rounds of this family-friendly dice game!


The Walking Dead
10:00AM – 2:30PM
Sails Pavilion – Autographs

Join Daniel Thomas May, Travis Love, Theodus Crane and Tyler Chase in the Sails Pavilion on Saturday morning for your chance to collect autographs from the stars from AMC’s hugely popular series The Walking Dead!


Apocalyptic/Zombie: It’s the End of the World as We Know It
12:00PM – 1:00PM
Room 23ABC

Watch as Matt Mogk, the head of the Zombie Research Society and author of Everything You Ever Wanted to Know about Zombies, joins some of the best zombie and apocalyptic authors to discuss the threat of the undead, how they imagine the end of the world and the art of writing apocalyptic stories.

This is going to be one of the best zombie-themed panels at Comic-Con for Saturday! So make sure to plan ahead, grab your friends and arrive early to hear leading zombie experts discuss the dangers of a post-apocalyptic world!


Archie Comics: The Hottest Publisher in the Industry
12:00PM – 1:00PM
Room 9

In the last few years the characters of Archie comics have hung out with the cast of Glee, fought demons alongside the rock group KISS and are now preparing to defend their town from zombies! Is this a desperate attempt to remain relevant or simply a brilliant new marketing campaign for a classic comic? Check out the panel to learn more!


The Video Game Culture of Zombies – How Dead Rising 3 on Xbox One Kicks Off a New Generation of Mayhem

Zombie Research Society advisory board member Max Brooks will join a panel of experts from the world of video games and pop culture to discuss how zombies have invaded our lives through every avenue of entertainment. And with a heavy emphasis on the upcoming Xbox One launch title Dead Rising 3, attendees can expect exclusive news, information and game play footage from the developers themselves!


Marvel Minimates: Ten Years of Awesomeness
1:30PM – 2:30PM

Zombie fans and toy collectors will want to visit this panel for a sneak peek at some of the upcoming new Minimates from Marvel, including a preview of many exciting new figures from The Walking Dead series!


Skybound Panel

Robert Kirkman joins a number of writers and artists from Skybound as they announce new titles and discuss the future of their popular comic book series The Walking Dead.


Zombie Dice & Munchkin: Zombie and Booty
2:00PM – 3:00PM
Room 15A

Head back to the game room for some more zombie-themed fun. Now in addition to Zombie Dice, fans will have the chance to play Munchkin: Zombies… an exciting expansion to the popular series of Munchkin games where players take on the role of the undead!


Grimm Season 3: Q&A with Cast and Producers from the Hit Supernatural Series, Followed by an Exclusive Trailer of NBC’s New Fall Drama, Dracula

Now that one of the series’ main character is a zombie, fans of Grimm are on the edge of their seats for Season 3. Join the writers, producers and cast members for a very special discussion and Q&A at this exclusive panel.


Entertainment Weekly’s Women Who Kick Ass

Danai Gurira of The Walking Dead joins a number of fierce, fearless and flat-out fantastic female actors that have left fans breathless! These film and television actresses will discuss the power and privilege of playing women who redefine the rules and refuse to yield.


Behind the Scenes with Telltale Games’ The Walking Dead Game Series
4:00PM – 5:00PM
Room 23ABC

Robert Kirkman joins the President & CEO of Telltale Games to reflect on the inspiration behind the critically-acclaimed video game. The panelists will also walk fans through the origins of the game itself, reveal details on exciting new features exclusive to PlayStation Vita and include a sneak peek at the next chapter of The Walking Dead game series.


Is This A Zombie?
11:00PM – 11:25PM
Marriott Hall 4, Marriott Marquis & Marina

Nightly screenings continue for the popular Japanese anime series Is This A Zombie? at the Marriott. However, no one under the age of 18 will be allowed into the Anime rooms after 10:00 PM unless accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.
