STEPEN KING’S “CELL” MOVIE COMING

Stephen King’s bestselling novel Cell is being adapted for the big screen, with John Cusack set to star. Paranormal Activity 2 director Tod “Kip” Williams will helm the project slated to start shooting in September.

In Cell a struggling artist fights for survival after a signal sent out over the global cell phone network suddenly turns people into mindless zombie-like killers.

A film adaptation has been in the works for years now, with Eli Roth originally set to direct the film back in 2007.. Cell will be Cusack’s third Stephen King adaptation after Stand By Me and 1408.

We’ll keep you in the loop as the project moves forward.

  1. Except Pulse was bloody awful.

  2. I read the book some time ago.. glad that I got given it and I didn’t have to buy it.. it was if Mr King was bored and decided to write something on a Sunday afternoon to take up a few spare hours.. no explanations, poor story line and absurd “zombies” … Another film to watch on the tele if it ever makes it.. certainly won’t be buying tickets to see it at the cinema.

  3. it will be rubbish. people always murder stephen king films. never seen a good one yet, if they cant stay true to how he wrote the story they shouldnt make it.

  4. Sounds kind of like the plot to Pulse to me…
