TEXAS FRIGHTMARE IS ZOMBIE PACKED

One of the nation’s largest horror conventions kicks off this weekend, just in time for Zombie Awareness Month! The Hyatt Regency of Dallas-Fort Worth will host the 2013 Texas Frightmare Weekend which promises an impressive schedule of events including movie screenings, discussion panels and celebrity guests.

After humble beginnings at the tiny Grapevine Convention Center in Grapevine, TX, TFW (as it has begun to be called by attendees) is arguably the largest horror convention in the nation. The event boasts over 10,000 attendees annually and has hosted genre legends such as George A. Romero, Clive Barker, Malcom McDowell, Robert Englund, John Carpenter, Tobe Hooper, Cary Elwes and hundreds more.

Zombie fans especially won’t want to miss a special survival presentation by our friends at the Zombie Response Team. Not to mention the opportunity to meet a number of authors, artists and filmmakers like Tom Savini or the cast of The Walking Dead including Jon Bernthal and Chandler Riggs among others!

Texas Frightmare Weekend opens this Friday, May 3rd and runs through Sunday evening. But certain events and celebrities will only be available on specific days and times. So make sure that you stop by the official website for more scheduling details including a complete list of guests, events and ticket information!
