ZOMBIE SELF PORTRAIT by Egon Schiele

Artist Egon Schiele (1890 – 1918) is noted for his darkly expressive depictions of  people in intensely twisted positions. Though he died of the Spanish Flu at the age of just 28, Schiele had already developed a style that remains as unmistakable as it is haunting.

One of his may self portraits seen below is a perfect example of fine art capturing the frantic focus, and hollow agony of the modern zombie. What do you think of Schiele’s work?
