RAINDROP-SHAPED TREE TENTS

Dutch sculptor and designer Dré Wapenaar originally designed what he calls Treetents for environmental activists to live in while protesting deforestation, they also make excellent treetop retreats for campers, kids, and anyone looking for relaxation and safety above the forest floor.

Each droplet-shaped tree house attaches directly to a tree trunk as  high as you decide the install it, and each is roomy enough to sleep a family of four. Composed of a steel frame wrapped in canvas and measure thirteen feet tall with a 9 foot diameter, the interior includes a roomy hardwood sleeping platform and a round mattress big enough for two adults and two children.

What do you think about the Treetent for long term zombie survival?

  1. “Long Term?” no way. You attract a herd to your location from snoring, or scent, or any daily activity and you’ll be trapped and die in that thing from thirst or starvation. Maybe if you took it to like Sequoia National Forest and climbed way way way up a redwood tree. Those things do look pretty sweet though. I would definitley like to use one when camping in Alaska or Montana.

  2. This is genius! While a little bulky maybe, and I’m sure pretty expensive and hard to move around, this is a pretty brilliant idea. I would buy one.

  3. Where can i get one
