SHAM ZOMBIE HOUSING DEVELOPMENT

Convicted felon Christian Kerodin used to make money by conning shopping malls into thinking that he was a homeland security expert, and then extorting money from them. Now he wants to sell you a doomsday house inside a giant walled fortress in Idaho.

The Associated Press reports that the proposed medieval-style city is called The Citadel, and all residents would be required to own firearms and stand ready to defend the compound if society collapses. Never mind that it’s not built yet and never will be, or that Kerodin is legally barred from owning or carrying a firearm himself. Maybe that’s why he wants you there to protect him.

Mark Potok of the Southern Poverty Law Center had this to say about the project:

“The people behind The Citadel are like 12-year-old boys talking about the tree house, or the secret underground city, they’re going to build some day.”

You can see a drawing of the stone fortress with room  for up to 7,000 families below, or go to The Citadel website to read how the compound will include houses, schools, a hotel and a firearms factory and a museum.

But before you pony up the $208 deposit to reserve your spot, keep in mind that we’ll sell you five acres on the moon for half that price.

  1. It’s like he drew this on a napkin without ever looking into how fortifications throughout history were designed. And what would the farmers market sell when you don’t have any crops or livestock?

  2. absolutely ridiculous!!
