Winter of the Dead is billed as the first ever Russian zombie movie, currently in production with no firm release date. If nothing else, the trailer is worth a look. Check out the zombie kill at the 1:53 mark. Who doesn’t love a badass priest with an ax?

This is simply epic. Why can’t American producers make zombie movies like this? Common people surviving and not some modified humans with special powers. I like this more than any other movies related to zombies. Hopefully there is an English translation.
Isn’t that what Dawn of the Dead (new one), 28 Days Later, 28 Weeks Later, Quarantine, etc. are about?
If I remember correctly the crazies has no super human people either….
